South Plainfield, NJ – As of October 7, 2024, Abel Fire Protection, Inc. of Warrendale, PA, has
officially merged with Approved Fire Protection Company, marking a significant milestone in the
company’s growth strategy. Moving forward, Abel Fire Protection will operate under the name
Abel Fire, Proud Member of Approved Fire Protection, as part of this new acquisition.
This merger is the first of many planned by Approved Fire Protection, led by President Diane
Pein. Pein, the fourth-generation operator of the family-owned company, is on a mission to keep
the fire suppression industry in the hands of family businesses amid increasing acquisitions by
private equity firms.
