Fire Extinguishers

CLEAN AGENT FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Clean Agent fire extinguishing agent discharges as a rapidly evaporating liquid, which is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and leaves behind no residue. We supply you with leading market equipment which provide a history of successful real-world protection of valuable assets.
Ideal applications for these extinguishers include: data centers, laboratories, manufacturing plants, general office areas, computer rooms, telecommunication facilities, clean rooms, control rooms, warehouses, military electronics, vehicles including classic autos, boats, engine compartments, aircraft ramps, onboard aircraft and in facilities that service aircraft and any facility where dry chemical extinguishers could cause unacceptable damage or contamination.

ABC FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

ABC or Multi-Purpose extinguishers utilize a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. It chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F and coats surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator.

CO2 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

CARBON DIOXIDE is discharged as a white cloud of “snow” which smothers a fire by eliminating oxygen. It is effective for Class B flammable liquids and is electrically non-conductive. Carbon Dioxide is a clean, non-contaminating, odorless gas.

K CLASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER

WET CHEMICAL extinguishers are the best restaurant kitchen appliance hand portable fire extinguishers you can purchase. Each model has been tested and approved for the Class K listing by UL specifically for restaurant kitchen hazards.

WATER TYPE FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Model 240 utilizes the cooling, soaking and penetrating effect of a 45-55 ft. stream of WATER. The 55 sec. discharge time makes it highly effective for inexperienced operators for use on Class A fires.

SCBA

A self-contained breathing apparatus, or SCBA, is often used by emergency personnel like firemen, or rescue personnel who need to have breathable air. Generally, SCBA has three different parts, including a regulator, an inhalation connector, and a high-pressure tank, which are all connected to a frame.

The other major application is for industrial users of various types. Important users are petrochemical, chemical, and nuclear industries.

Gas Detection Meters

Gas meters are pieces of equipment designed to protect people from unseen hazards that may exist in workplace environments. It is especially important to worker safety that these parts are maintained and calibrated properly. Gas meter (monitor) inaccuracy due to improper irregular calibration can lead to serious accidents. Exposure to excessive levels of toxic gas or where there is a lack of oxygen can cause workers illness and in the worst-case scenario, death.

Gas Meter Calibrations

The only way to guarantee that a Gas meter (monitor) will detect gas accurately and reliably is to test (calibrate) it with a known concentration of calibration gas.

Emergency Exit Lights

The National Fire Protection Association’s Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) requires the installation and maintenance of emergency lighting under section 5-8 “Illumination of Means of Egress” and the installation of exit signs under section 5-10 “Marking of Means of Egress” OSHA also requires emergency lighting under Section 1910.36 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

The Life Safety Code requires monthly testing of all emergency lighting. Annual inspection and testing are required by NFPA 70 and the National Electric Code. Both Codes require written test records be kept for inspection by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.

Monthly Inspection

Check alignment of beams and adjust if necessary
Check AC and charge lamps if applicable

Annual Inspection

90-minute full functional test
Disconnect AC power supply to each unit if necessary
Check battery and lens for corrosion
Clean unit and lens
Adjust beam for proper alignment
Check charging system voltage
Check battery voltage output
Annual maintenance in accordance with NFPA 101, NFPA 70, and OSHA 1910.36

Turn Out Gear

“Turnout gear” or “bunker gear” is as important to the firefighter as any piece of personal protective equipment is to the traditional worker. It is designed to keep you safe, protecting you from the environment and the hazards and scenarios out there that can potentially harm you. It is designed to protect you from extreme environmental temperatures and moderately hazardous objects that would tear open your skin as easy as one tears a piece of tissue. For your safety, NFPA 1851 specifies that the firefighter protective ensemble or ensemble components (turnout gear) must be retired from service no more than 10 years from the date the ensemble or ensemble component was manufactured – the date it was manufactured, not the date it was placed in service.
